Blackberry and Peach Picking

On Saturday, June 26, join HCC, EPIC and Jamey Vogel, owner of Vogel Orchard, who will share his historic land for the day. Jamey will assist the group in blackberry picking and Stonewall's famous peach picking. Afterward, there will be a picnic lunch on the orchard provided by Salt Lick Bar-B-Q. Everyone that comes will take home a basket of peaches, blackberries and some peach icecream from the Vogel's roadside stand.

Since you will be in the area, make a day of it! Enjoy more of the Texas Hill Country and join the HCC staff for swimming and camping at Krause Springs, try some new wines at Becker Vinyards or Torre di Pietra, or take a hike at Enchanted Rock.

When: Saturday, June 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where: Meet at Vogel Orchard's gift shop storefront at 10:00 OR if you plan to carpool or follow other EPIC members, please meet at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the old Albertson's at the "Y" at Oak Hill where Hwy 290 intersects with Hwy 71.
